I haven't had any chest or respiratory infections or other viruses and things like autoimmune conditions, viral infections, TB etc have all been ruled out. Is submandibular lymph node swelling usually a symptom of lymphoma and are there any other reasons for it (It generally isn't painful only slightly uncomfortable just before it gets larger, it's hardish), any input or thoughts would be appreciated! Also both my doctor and dentist have given my teeth, gums and other glands inside my mouth a clean bill of health. I don't expect answers or anything like that but naturally as this has been going on for quite some time I am beginning to get a little concerned especially as my doctor stressed the importance of getting to the bottom of it as soon as possible. So in a nutshell my primary care doctor has ordered an ultrasound and chest x-ray as the first step and said we will see where we go next once he gets those results.

I've also had intense itching which I have been complaining about for months and the only way to describe it is that it's in the muscles of my legs and the only semi relief I get is from walking around and shaking them. I've also had drenching night sweats - I have to get up in the middle of the night to change everything and dry my hair and by the time I put my sheets in the wash the next day they are coated in white sweat marks. I went back to my primary care doctor who is not happy with the treatment I have received as he said the submandibular lymph node is now at least 4cm and it resembles a large egg sticking out of my jaw and he is not happy with the specialists and the fact that they lymph node hasn't even been scanned.

The problem is my right submandibular lymph node is continuing to get larger. By April one of the students was convinced that the lymph nodes were smaller than what his colleagues had estimated so cancelled the biopsy and they are still trying to figure out why I am anemic. However the hospital that I visit is a teaching hospital so I am under the care of one senior hematologist but the decisions are made by students and I see a different one each time. As it persisted until March with no improvement in my Anemia or low white blood cell count I was referred to see a ENT surgeon for a possible biopsy. By the time I saw one 2 months late the lymph node was 1.5 and I also had swollen nodes in my left armpit and posterior triangle (all between 1cm and 1.5cm). Because this persisted for a while she sent me to see a hematologist. The tests came back as a low white blood cell count and anemia with a hemoglobin count of 9.9. When she examined me she found my right submandibular lymph node was swollen (0.5cm) so she ran some blood tests. About 10 months ago I went to my doctor because I was feeling a bit run down and I couldn't seem to shake it off. I'm a 27 year old female looking for a bit of advice.
